In this project, I designed a cohesive set of symbols based on the five human senses. Prioritizing clarity and consistency, I developed a symbol set that accurately communicates each sense. I further expanded my symbols using a root-based strategy to demonstrate the system's flexibility and potential for further development.

Root/Determinant Strategy

To expand my symbol set, I chose the “root” mouth as it conveys a sense of action and interaction that the determinants can build upon. This dynamic root symbol proved to be highly versatile, making it an effective foundation for a variety of disaster relief scenarios, such as contaminated water and medical testing.
